Da big weeeekeeennn

That's how you would say it here in Grenada!

Valentine's Day is coming up and I miss my lovely lady and normie so much! Without a job I have no money either to buy them anything, but I want them to know irregardless of how hyped and commercialized Valentine's Day is, I still want to spoil them!

The other day I'm missing out on is Chinese Lunar New Year! It seems I keep missing them; the other few years I was either in Washington or Santa Barbara. I want Chinese food and MONEY hahahaaaaa (just kidding on the money, but not really either). There isn't too many asians on this island either, unless you count Indians as Asian, which I guess they kind of are?!? As my roommate said.... being at this school is like joining the Indian Students Cultural Association automatically....

birthday

I like quiet birthdays! The day to me is not extremely special, it just marks another year that has gone by. However, if I were able to have a birthday wish, I'd wish for many things. 1st I'd want my mom to be cured of cancer. If not cured, at least in remission or something and she would be doing well and healthy. 2nd I'd want my lovely lady to do well in school, and get into a medical school she desires. 3rd I'd just want myself to do well in school also. 4th Everyone I know remains healthy. 5th I want Norman to be happy and spoiled like a lil brat... i love him.

Those are the things I want the most and would wish for.

Scary Ride

So this morning I went to IGA to pick up some more goodies to eat and realized that the bus doesn't have a working speedometer. The bus driver just uses the tachometer and shifts gears, but he probably doesn't have an exact idea at how fast he is flying! I thought... "hmmm, maybe it's just this bus", but when I took the bus back from IGA, it was the same thing! Freakin crazy Grenadians!

Books

Started cracking into my med books already and wow are they interesting and fun! I also met lots of people and yet still know none of them other than my roommate. It is too easy to forget faces and names because I am so used to meeting and forgetting; this occurs when working in the ER. You meet a patient and remember them for that good hour of interaction and then BYE BYE!!! You meet a new patient and the cycle begins again =D

I got a package today and was super-ly happy because of it! It filled a small void in the things I needed and also opened my eyes to the awesomeness of possibly living off campus in a really really really nice place!!!!

To the study-mobile!!!

first one

Oh my.... the first blog for the new year 2010!
Hopefully this year will be much better than that horrid 2009.... so many bad/sad happenings in that year.

I am heading off soon to school and just finalizing all the things to bring. I am sure going to miss my lovely lady and normie!!! I wish I could just shove them in my suitcase and take them on the journey with me! Recently we celebrated my mom's birthday/retirement and also had a surprise party for me; I was quite ecstatic for both and now have gained quite some weight- I wonder if the airline will charge me for my extra baggage... hahahaa

bring it on 2010
